Scolari hopes to be coaching again by JulyAssociated Press
SAO PAULO (AP) - Unemployed coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will start making decisions about his future in the next few months and expects to be back at work by July.
Scolari, fired by Chelsea in February, said on Tuesday he will likely start negotiating with clubs next month in hope of a position by July.
"It's a period when we have been receiving some offers, some contacts," Scolari said. "And some are from teams in an excellent level, others from teams who are looking at different projects, from different countries."
Scolari did not give any hints about which clubs have contacted him, but he has already said he intends to stay in Europe and will not return to Brazilian football, where he started his career.
"We will study (the offers) very carefully and in June, probably, we will decide which situation we will choose."
Scolari led Brazil to its fifth World Cup title in 2002 in South Korea and Japan, then coached Portugal before signing with Chelsea last year.
