Falcão (the former Roma star regarded as one of the best midfielders ever, not to be confused with this chap) may have retired from the grass version of the game, but he’s still rockin’ the world of Futsal.

At the recent Grand Prix de Futsal (a huge annual international indoor football tournament), Brazil spanked Romania 12-0, in part thanks to this incredible effort. Marca are hailing it as the greatest indoor football goal ever, and we’re inclined to agree.

The goal is made even more incredible by the fact that Falcão is 55-years-old. Most 25-year-olds don’t look that good.

Dat is not de same Falcao.

Dis Falcao is de greatest futsal player ever.

De Falcao u torkin bout was a balding blondish hair genius of a midfielder.  He also used to coach Brazil for a while too.  Completely different player.

Dis guy here is de best ever...ah tink he does play beach football fuh Brazil too.

Somebody needs his eyes checked, because this is what Falcão -- the ex-Roma star and Brazil legend from the 1982 World Cup -- looks like these days.

"Donovan was excellent. We knew he was a good player, but he really didn't do anything wrong in the whole game and made it difficult for us."

was watching a documentary last week where they showed that Thailand is a big big side when it come to Futsal, but small minnows when it come to the senior National Team

They also mentioned in that same documentary that Futsal was where Kaka started off - as well as where many Brasilians hone their skills, and a long time ago also remembered seeing Robinho lighting up Futsal, and looking forward to it whenever he came home on holidays.

 - maybe instead of sweating small goal on a patch of grass or strip of concrete, somebody/ organisation/ TTFF could take some initiative and start up a nationwide Futsal competition to garner interest - get some youths involved - and the in conjunction with Ministry of Sport/ Community Affairs kick start weekly camps, etc. It will also help the youths steer clear of crime and violence - and probably give us some gems to nuture.

This is not that special.... certainly entertaining but men doing that skill since they see Osvaldo Ardiles do it in 'Escape to Victory' and even before then.

What makes this so special it's done on a Goalkeeper and the man scored, that's the heights of improvisation.
