Sex Sting: Goldman Sachs Lawyer
by Jim Brogan
Sex Sting and Goldman Sachs Lawyer - A lawyer for Goldman Sachs was arrested Monday in a sex sting operation aimed at men who solicit young girls from the Internet for sexual encounters.
Todd Genger, 33, is charged with attempting to elicit sex with a minor and trying to disseminate indecent material to a minor.
Police in Westchester County, New York caught Genger after the married father of three started talking with an undercover investigator posing as a teen in a chat room. The investigator was posing as a 15-year-old girl and made it clear she was underage. The online conversations began April 13 and ended Monday when Genger traveled to Westchester to meet the girl for sex.
He admitted to participating in the online conversations about the intended tryst, which included "specific explicit sexual acts," D.A spokesman Lucien Chalfen said.
At his arraignment on charges of trying to disseminate indecent material to a minor, Genger was released on his own recognizance pending an Aug.11 court date.
If convicted, he faces up to 4 years in prison.
