Notice the very important role Messi's parents and family played in his eventual success. They made a lot of effort and sacrifice...  It makes a big difference.   Ive seen a lot of talented players amount to nothing because they had no support or encouragement from their family.  At the same time, I have also seen and herd about  players who ended up with great careers and success because their parents and family made the effort and sacrifice.
