How is it that the Jamaica middle class have no problem forking out US$75 to pay for a gran-stand ticket to see Ja play, but the Trini middle class cant afford a US$50 ticket for a similar game? How is it that the poor Jamaican farmer religiously comes up with the US$15 to go to the bleachers everytime Ja play, but the poor farmer from T&T is planning to boycot?

The fans lack passion for the sport. As a matter of fact, it seems the majority of the peeps who support football in T&T are from the middle class...in Jamaica its more a poor man's game.

I don't think is a question of not having the money. It's because we know the reasons behind the price change is not honourable and for the players. Because of our history with the Special Advisor, we are averse to filling his pockets even further for no real reason.

If we knew our hard earned money was going to the team and to the betterment of local football, it would be a different feeling as opposed to just contributing to the JAW fund. Is like a man robbing we without even pulling a gun...we just handing over the money.

That's why there is a problem with it. Because of the past history and reputation of the individual cause I pretty sure men have no problem paying $50 US to see the Soca Warriors in the USA or even $100+ in South Africa.

I do know that a whole cross section of the community does support football. The problem is the discontent with the whole TTFF. There a kinda of boycott of football. The fans go when they feel like going. No amount of promotion would drag them to the stadium. If this WC campaign had taken off on the right foot, the support would have been excellent. This campaign went "south" for the start of the blacklist. And the fans talked with their feet. Stay home. But RF, don't fool yourself. We are still passionate about the game.
