Johnson blow for Cefn Druids

ELEMENTS Cefn Druids have lost the services of ex-Wrexham winger Josh Johnson, who has re-signed for San Juan Tabloteh in his native Trinidad.

Josh Johnson Johnson, who played for Rhyl last season, returned home last week for family reasons and has now rejoined the club where he started his career.

A free-scoring right winger who represented Trinidad & Tobago at Under-20 level in the Olympic qualifying series in Mexico, Johnson arrived in the UK in the summer of 2006, earning a full-time contract at Wrexham.

He made 10 (+19) Football League appearances for the Dragons before being released and signed for Rhyl in August 2008, receiving his first full international call-up three months later. But, after failing to impress at Belle Vue he was released in May.

Johnson intends to return to his Wrexham home next month, but will be ineligible to play for the Ancients again until the January transfer window opens.

The Conquering Lion of Judah shall break every chain.
