Dwight Yorke to return to Sydney
Australian Associated Press

He's been linked with a comeback to the A-League from almost the moment he left three years ago and now Dwight Yorke is finally set to return to the Sydney Football Stadium.

But the 37-year-old won't be there to play, rather as Sydney FC's guest of honour as he promotes his new autobiography on Sunday.

"It's always great to have Yorkey back in town, he obviously brings a lot of excitement to the city," said Sydney FC Captain and former teammate Steve Corica.

"We (the players) got to say goodbye to him but the fans probably didn't so it's a good opportunity for them to do that this weekend."

Yorke was highest profile international signing in the A-League until the recruitment of Robbie Fowler by Townsville this season.

The former Manchester United forward scored seven goals in 21 games and led Sydney to the inaugural premiership before leaving the club because they couldn't come to terms for a second season.

Sydney FC will officially thank Yorke for his contribution to the club with a presentation on-field this Sunday, prior to kick-off in the clash with Brisbane.
The Conquering Lion of Judah shall break every chain.
