T&TEC pip leaders Joe Public.
T&T Express Reports.

T&TEC shocked bmobile Joe Public with a late goal to narrow the Eastern Lions' lead to three points on Sunday in the bmobile National Super League (NSL).

Playing at Joe Public's base, the Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, the "Electricity Boys" stole full points when Jamal Ayers produced the only strike of the match in the 85th minute.

The result puts T&TEC on 48 points, a win behind Joe Public, with one match day plus rescheduled fixtures to be played.

T&TEC, though, are unlikely to overthrow Joe Public for the title, the Lions having a superior goal difference over all teams in the League.

Also on Sunday, Queen's Park Cricket Club were upset 2-1 by St Francois Nationals at Youth Camp, Chaguaramas, while Economy Strikers eased past Harlem Strikers 3-0 at Sangre Grande Recreation Ground.

And in a high-scoring affair, WASA FC turned back Club Sando 5-3 at WASA's St Joseph headquarters.

Nigel Hart and Michael-Lee Celestine doubled up, Hart in the first half and Celestine in the second, while Fabian Garcia got the other goal for WASA after Sando took a 2-0 lead early in the opening session.

Two matches, a clash featuring M&M Harvard and Carenage United at Dibe Recreation Ground and a fixture between Defence Force FC and 1976 FC Phoenix SC at Defence Force Headquarters, Chaguaramas, were postponed.

These games will be replayed tomorrow at 3.30 p.m. at the respective venues. The next Super League match day is Sunday.
