Barring injury, I'll be surprised if either team tries much "new talent" if any at all

Contractual obligations these days require you bring your best players for this kind of fixture.

Once healthy, expect full strength or very close to full strength Brazil & England sides...at least in the first half.  Maybe some subs in the 2nd.

The intensity might not be that of a World Cup match....but when players get their competitive juices flowing, the intensity ramps up on their own.

While the result won't really matter in the grand scheme of things, both teams will want to win.  Brazil to mantain their dominance over England and England to prove that they can get a rare victory over their football masters.

As FF said, the game is in Qatar, but when England played Brazil in Wembley in 2007 it was a 1-1 draw.

If this game is being played in temperatures that are 25C +, Brazil will mash dem up.

Them men was fraid to tackle. The best part about that goal was the unitintentional dummy his teammate provide by jumping out of the way and taking the defender with him...

England also beat Brazil 1-0 in Wembley in a warm up for WC '90....

Brazil over England is not a formality- never was...and with this England team clicking as well as England ever has (esp in recent times), I think it will be a good contest.

Always nice to see England get a lickin' though...esp at the hands of Samba...

Dem ent dropping... some ah dem resting.  Smart move too, Stevie G. fuh instance was out nearly three weeks for Liverpool and finally played 50 mins on the weekend.  No need to run him out in this "meaningless" friendly when he just coming off injury.  Same for Glen Johnson, Brum was his first game back.  Lennon, Heskey and Ferdinand hurt doh... Cole too.

When yuh big yuh large. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5692028,00.html

Exactly.  Some a dem clubs outta order.

City cannot dictate to Brazil who plays on their team.

When players don't play for the national team due to "injury" and turn out the same week for their clubs nobody does say boo.

Let City & Hughes slow dem roll and have some blasted RESPECT!

England more defined by who missing

Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole, Glen Johnson ,John Terry, Steven Gerrard,Frank Lampard, David Beckham.

Neither team looking pressed, though Brazil beginning to pressure on England back line.

Brazil clearly the more comfortable and fluid of the two teams....

England looking like a disjointed outfit- too many injuries I suppose.

Still a reasonably comfortable game for both teams....despite a few Brazilian raids forward...

Make up call on the no-call Rooney foul...Nilmar had the same thing a few minutes ago in the same position- opposite end of the field.

I like this James Milner fella.  England looking very good at the back with Brown especially, and Lescott.  They seem to lack pace (compared to the Brazilians) at other points on the pitch, but in the back they've proven to be Brazil's equal for pace.

is best the ref go and sit down and let the game run..

as always england looking short on ideas.. too predictable and no one willing to take up a different option than the simplest pass.. i wish i was a fly on the wall of the england dressing room to see de kinda bouf wright-phillips getting all now for the level shit he playing.

milner looking industrious but is either the ball or milner will get pass maicon. but not both!

rooney need to step up and take some more responsibility.

de brazilian left back and nilmar looking promising but then again them is the men playing with the most intensity for obvious reasons..

I think both teams will be happy to keep the game in 2nd gear, and walk away with no (more) injuries...

Naturally they both want to win, and Brazil look more purposeful as far as the attack goes....but so far (1st 45) it's clear that there's not alot on the line in this fixture... it's an exhibition match in the middle east- and that's about it...so far at least.

That goal look so simple, but was class all around.

The run, the pass, the header. Class.
