Englands next chance to host will be 2030! I know many people don't rate England, but its still the home of arguably the strongest league in the world and its a travesty that they have to wait 64 years between tournaments.
Will be interesting to see if Russia can build the stadiums, roads, airports and hotels required.

Fifa have a desire to use the world cup to help the development of the sport. The surprise is not that england didn't get 2018, but that Germany got 2006.
