Been reported Liverpools CEO and Quinn had a talked / meeting over the weekend and just being reported on SSN Liverpool have ended their interest in Kenwyne.  Didn't or couldn't pay the money.

Strangely been widely reported Sunderland were going to sign Cabanas, he was shot in teh head in bar room fight in Mexico and is critical in LA hospital, strange as Sunderland were also linked with argentine midfielder winger who was involved in fatal car crash not so long ago, he survived but his friends not so lucky.

Stoke boss rules out Jones swoop.
Sunderland Echo.

Stoke manager Tony Pulis has admitted Kenwyne Jones is out of his price range.

Sunderland striker Jones has been the subject of continued transfer speculation throughout the January window, to the extent that Black Cats boss Steve Bruce has felt it necessary to speak out about the way it is unsettling the player.

Along with Liverpool and Birmingham, Stoke were rumoured to be one of the interested parties, but Pulis has ruled the Potters out of the running for both the Trinidad & Tobago international - who was on loan at the Britannia Stadium in 2005 - and Crystal Palace's Victor Moses, another name to be linked with the club.

"The Kenwyne Jones one, that is not going to happen, and Victor Moses, that was never going to happen anyway," Pulis said.

"We had Kenwyne here when we first started, quite a while back. I know there has been interest from Liverpool and other clubs and rightly so, he's a good player.

"But he's on a lot of money at Sunderland and they want a lot of money for him, it's been well documented. So we won't be in that market."
