There's a fairly young Canadian chef with Trinbagonian roots making waves in Canada. Some of you may know him from his hip hop days (Bass is Base), but you can also catch him on the Food Network on "Everyday Exotic" where he's cooking up a storm. I believe you can also catch his show on Global Tv on the weekends.

He owns (co-owns I think) a couple restaurants in TO, Kultura Social Dining and Nyood Restaurant. Anyone been there yet? (looking for feedback) I believe he only just opened a new one in Burlington as well.
