By Randy Bando (ttproleague.com)

Captain Javaughn Vance netted the winning item for St Augustine Senior Comprehensive in a 2-1 victory over archrivals Eldorado East on Friday to take the Digicel Pro Bowl invitational trophy.

The secondary schools powerhouses played the opening match at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, followed by the Digicel Pro Bowl Final between Bmobile Joe Public and Caledonia AIA of Morvant/Laventille.

Joe Public wrapped up the 2009 season with their fifth title following a 5-3 penalty win following a 1-1 draw.

In the invitational match between the secondary schools sides, St Augustine maintained its unbeaten form against Eldorado this season.

The Big5 champs opened the scoring following a goalless first half when Zavion Navarro rounded goalkeeper Keston Mata in the 52nd minute for a 1-0 advantage.

Eldo substitute Daniel Cyrus equalized for Eldorado in the 71st minute--eleven minutes after coming on--when he raced past the St Augustine's defence to slip a low shot past Kerron Jones for a 1-1 score.

However St Augustine were back on to two minutes later when captain Jevaugn Vance slipped a shot past Keston Mata for a 2-1 lead over the National Intercol champions and victory in the end.
