Missing Trini's body found in Haiti

Wednesday, February 24th 2010
 

The body of Trinidad and Tobago national Gregory McAlpin, who went missing following the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, was found on Monday afternoon.

Search-and-recovery personnel found near his body, his driver’s permit and jewelry.

Yes, Mrs. McAlpin was a very good teacher and enjoyed a beautiful family. I really feel sorry that such a disaster had to hit them.
What class (year) were you in Trinity Cross?

Trini victim of Haiti quake buried

TWO months after a massive earthquake ravaged Haiti, this country’s lone fatality in the disaster was given final rites.

The funeral service of Gregory McAlpin, 49, was held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Port of Spain yesterday. The ceremony came exactly two months after a massive 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on January 12.

On that day, McAlpin went missing when the Hotel Montana in Port-au-Prince collapsed during the earthquake.
