An impressive Venezuela. More sophisticated rendition than Italy.

Think of the 2022 conversation regarding reparations as the item tabled for future discussion when initially raised for negotiation during talks in 1834. A lot of intere$t has accrued.

Tried to watch the Germany vs Canada game, but could not connect. Seems Canada went toe to toe with Germany. Last score I saw was 2-2 in the 83rd.

Canada let Germany back into the game. "Let".

Quote
After 45 minutes, Canada’s Women’s U-17 Team had the European Champions on the ropes but in soccer, everything can change in a matter of minutes.

That’s what happened on Saturday as Canada put in a spirited performance and could easily have come away with the three points but Germany’s two goals in three minutes in the second half meant a 2:2 tie in Liberia, CRC.

“We had the 2:0 lead and we gave that up but Germany are the European Champions for a reason,” said Head Coach Bev Priestman. “I think playing this level of opposition for all three games, I think we really need to stay focused and do the things that we do well and trust our strategy.”

Our u17 women should be at this tournament. I truly believe that the ladies was good enough to qualify. We really need to get these players better coaching. The girls posses great technical ability and game sophistication. What they need is for a coach to hammer home the tactical aspects of the game and develop team organization. The 17s should be in high gear right now getting ready for the next u20 WCQ.

Colombia's keeper couldn't hold nutten from range. Four shots from distance 4 goals x Mexico.

Japan looks a force to be reckoned with.

Japan was rampant tonight.

Very tenacious team. Very organized in incorporating numbers into attack. Reacted first to the ball in both games. They should walk past NZ with ease.

The North Korean girl who scored the own goal v. Canada looked like a meeting with the Supreme Leader is imminent. She couldn't stop crying. Body position fully faced towards her goal as a defender ... touch was destined to head in that direction. The lunge she made to save it was desperate. Yuh could feel her pain. Canada was quite lucky. De NK attackers leggo some missiles that the CAN keeper had difficulty addressing.

Zambia ... very poor rendition.

Bad call by the ref in awarding NZ a penalty v. Spain. Justice in the end b/c NZ missed. Great technique by Pilar to score a tres dedos outside of the boot shot. Disguised, deceptive, effective.

Hmmm, that NGR keeper is U17??? Anyway, well done to them: 2 set pieces and 2 goals. On one play they had 4 chances on goal ... the COL kpr did well to avert the goal.

Mexico has won 2 games, but ah not impressed by them yet (perhaps the opponents have been too weak). Germany is having a disappointing tournament.

5 minutes away but yet so far, T&T. Ah well, Costa Rica eh saying nutten (goal of the tournament hadda be the volley Italy scored against them off ah corner!!!).

Semi-finals today ... The Japanese have lived up to expectation. Venezuela will have to deal with them.

In the other match, Italy (almost always tournament survivors at any level) will face Spain.

Spain dispatched the Italians 2-0 (dubious pk for the 2nd goal).

Finals - Spain v. Japan
3rd Place Game - Italy v. Venezuela

Imagine Venezuela playing for 3rd place in the WC.

A third place game between 2 WC debutantes. Italy were very unlucky. I think both penalties were dubious.

Japan's tournament to lose ... they're playing the most sophisticated ball.

Does anyone have a link to the semi final and the today's final matches?

Greatly appreciated if you can post one on line ASAP.

Cheers

If VEN plays just a tad faster, ITA would be in trouble.
