After April is over no one will remember who messi is. Mark my word!

And Argentina going nowhere in South Africa they might as well pack lite, unless el principe is there.

Much adu about Messidonna the "catalan"

mom mom i want a inter replica for xmas with number 10 on it so i can represent the finest in the world this season.

This. might of been too harsh. :(

Messi's the best, admits Rooney

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has named Barcelona forward Lionel Messi as the best player in the world.

Rooney has been virtually ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up a groin injury in training last week, but that will be seen as a blip on an otherwise sterling personal 2010 campaign.

Having scored 34 goals so far for United, Rooney is set to be named the Professional Footballer's Association (PFA) player of the year on Sunday.

Nice little story on the man who found Messi. Truly emotional, he passed away in 2008

Messi 2009-10 stats:

League: 31 goals, 15 assists; 46 points in 33 games
Europe: 8 goals, 1 assist; 9 points in 12 games
Other*: 5 goals, 0 assists; 5 points in 6 games
Total: 44 goals, 16 assists; 60 points in 51 games

Perspective:

Messi now has 6 more goals in as many games played as last season (44/51 vs. 38/51) with only 2 fewer assists (16 vs. 18). There are 2 games left in the season.

With 31 goals in La Liga, Messi is 2 goals away from surpassing Forlan's 32 goals last season, which would make him the highest scoring Pichichi winner since Ronaldo (34) in 96-97.

Messi is 3 goals away from tying Ronaldo's Barca record of 47 total goals in a season (96-97). He has 2 games to tie or surpass that record.

If this was not a WC year then Messi would have already wrapped up the FIFA world player of the year award.
Wuk hard boy Messi, more greatness awaits.
