Said it before and will say it again.. That Bayern central defence is the most shabby i see in a long time, especially for a German team. Van Buyten and moreso Demechelis real ordinary and eh striking no fear in nobody.
When you look at the best teams in football today, the one thing that does stand out to me is an imposing central defence:
Lucio/Samuel - Inter
Pique/Puyol - Barca
Terry/Carvalho (Alex) - Chelsea
Ferdinand/Vidic - Man Utd
Juan/Burdisso (Mexes) - Roma
Pepe/Garay - Real Madrid
Nesta/Thiago Silva - AC Milan
Gallas/Vermaelen - Arsenal
I still cyah believe Van Buyten take that drag yes. Ah fairly elementary cut and drag back from Milito and the man back turn and he wallowing.. Something about the drag kinda remind me of what Rio Ferdinand get in the CL final last year that had him flapping on the ground like ah carite.
I didn't want to say it before the match to begrudge Bayern on what turned out to be an excellent season for them. But i think this Bayern side was very lucky to be in the CL final and caught form at just the right time, because under everything they eh really nutten dat special to talk bout. The side is basically a give it to Robben or Ribery and let them make something happen side. No real creativity in the midfield and no truly lethal man up front.
Anyway, congrats to Inter on a remarkable season winning the treble. And what more can you say about Mourinho. For all the talk, you have to admit the man is a living legend. To turn a team of perennial under achievers into treble winning champions is an extraordinary feat, and to win the CL with 2 different teams from different leagues at only age 47 is something else. The man does talk plenty but the man does back it up so he hadda get his just due. Really wish he wasn't going and mess it all up by going to a babylon club like Real Madrid.
And lastly Samuel Eto'o, a true champion
. Man win the treble with Barca, scoring crucial goals in every single big match imaginable and they sell him for a pop down man like Ibrahimovic.. Then the man come back and win the treble with Inter in his first season in Italy. That's why this man is my favorite player, true winners in football are few and far between and Samuel Eto'o is definitely one.
