In the field the Windies are playing a very good game.
Where was this effort/focus before.

Inconsistency is a killer.

Batting coach needed says WI coach
Friday 28th May, 2010

Following a series of failed run-chases in the home series against South Africa, West Indies head coach Ottis Gibson has identified the role of a batting coach as critical to his team's fortunes.

Gibson, whose early tenure as coach has been littered with defeats, says as soon as the current series is over a batting coach is to be identified and become a permanent fixture on his coaching staff.

Former Captain Jimmy Adams stepped in as a batting coach during the recently concluded world Twenty20, but currently the slot is empty.

Gibson believes that his team is almost even to the South Africans in terms of talent, but it is in the thinking department where his team lags behind the Proteas.
