Latapy back on
T&T Guardian

Soca Warriors coach Russell Latapy was back on the job on Tuesday as his national training went under to Digicel Pro League outfit Caledonia AIA, 2-1 in a practice match at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

Kevon Carter netted for the Soca Warriors squad while Caledonia got its goals via Ryan Stewart and Guyanese international, Shawn Beveney. It was the first session for Latapy in three weeks, after he took some time off to deal with personal matters outside of T&T.

During Latapy’s time away, the coaching sessions held on Monday’s and Tuesday’s were conducted by former national goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach, Michael “Brow” Maurice and national women’s team football coach Jamaal Shabazz, also a former national goalkeeper.

Tuesday’s session was marred by an injury scare to Crystal Palace striker Stern John, who went down unchallenged holding his much troubled left knee in his first session with Latapy. John was taken to the St Clair Medical Complex, where an X-Ray scan done showed there was no muscle or tissue damage.

The Conquering Lion of Judah shall break every chain.

Let us hope that that brace is just a precaution...to prevent against further damage.

I hear is from when he kicked a disgruntled fan in their armen after the match
Whatever you do, do it to the purpose; do it thoroughly, not superficially. Go to the bottom of things. Any thing half done, or half known, is in my mind, neither done nor known at all. Nay, worse, for it often misleads.
