Forward Keon Edwards has re-joined Caledonia AIA in a deal that could favour both parties.
The 26 year-old Edwards has been unattached since last December, while Caledonia are presently in desperate search of a potent goal-scorer.
The Morvant/Laventille club coming off a goalless draw against cross-town rivals San Juan Jabloteh last weekend opted to re-sign the once rogue Keon “Muja” Edwards in hopes of finding goals.
Edwards a former youth player at Caledonia first joined the Pro team in 2009 from St. Ann’s Rangers and sparked early netting a number of goals in the opening parts of the season, but that shine dimmed with a cloud of indiscipline and wasn’t re-signed ahead of the 2010 season.
But with 2010 forward signings Hayden Vincent and Guyanese Shawn Beveney just accumulating 3 goals between them after Round One Match Day Nine with the team sit seventh on the Digicel Pro League standings with 9 points, Caledonia turned to Edwards, offering a second chance.
Edwards could feature against W Connection this Friday in Round One Match Day Ten Super Friday at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium from 8pm.
