I will be happy to see Jehue finish with a sub 49 run (regardless if him finish first or fourth)..want to see him run a similar race from last year World Champs...

Also curious to see how Aleesha Barber does, since her recent success at CAC Games

Hey dont forget about RW in the long jump and CBB in the shot put.

Looks like the 100 is a race for 4th 5th and 6th. Then again AP chokes when he faces guys better than him. Even though he is one of my favs, I think he getting 4th or 5th. UB winning and TG should take 2nd.

Come on MB and KB, pull off a surprise for we.

I was looking foward to seeing Bledman here. He has been running well and the opportunity to line up with the big guns could have purchased some invaluable experience.

This may be a really stupid question (wouldn't be the first time!  ;D) but how come there are 12 people in the 100m? Is there a B race or something?  :beermug:

Gordon looked very heavy legged. He may have already peaked for the season and now needs to take a few weeks off before training for the commonwealth games in October.

9.97 mean Bolt an awful day. I smell a Swedish blonde reason lol. Gay ran a masterful race - knowing he can only win if he separates early and holds on, which he did.

Stockholm is the greatest track city on earth let's just say that....Bolt looked today like something has him fatigued beyond belief. When you are .5 off of your PR something went wrong (well? lol) majorly

He looked awful in the rounds and worse in the final.

It happens.

I just pray this develops into a rivalry.  Let's face it 9.97 for Bolt means it's the worst day he has had in 2 years. If Gay can run 9.8 low or better every race it will be a rivalry on the circuit. If Gay can run under 9.7 in every championship race, it will be a real rivalry.

this picture pretty much sums it up  :D

Gay, who impressed out of the blocks and dominated his fierce rival from the halfway stage, said: "It feels great to beat Usain but deep down inside I know he is not 100%. I look forward to beating him when he is 100%.

Tyson Gay handed Usain Bolt only his second professional 100m defeat as the American stormed to victory at the Diamond League meeting in Stockholm.

After seeing the first heat with UB and RT.... I call meh bookie. lol :rotfl:

I knew that this was going to happen after seeing that first heat. Bolt looked horrible and still ran 9.97. If any of our sprinters (MB,RT,DB,KB,AA,MD,EC,RS) ran that we will be bigging that up.

Big up to RT. Glad to see him place.

Gordon did well too. I would like for him to place before the season is over. And what happened to Barber? Was this her first race since turning pro?
