Nesta CarterNesta Carter raced to a personal best 100m time at Sunday's Spitzen Leichathletik Luzern, an IAAF EAA Outdoor Permit Meetings in Luzern, Switzerland.

 
Carter, who did not get the best of starts, powered past his rivals to take the event in 9.86 seconds, a huge personal best. His previous best was 9.91secs.

American Walter Dix, who was off to a good start, was relegated to second place in 9.88 seconds, also a personal best.

That 4x100m WR record is going under 37 next season. Bet. (Truth is it should be under already but they refuse to put Bolt on the leg he should be on, 2nd)

Blake to Bolt to Carter to Asafa is 36.88 WR at worlds in Korea next year.

Is it normal to go from a personal best of 10.11 to 9.86 in 2 years?

Nesta went from 10.11 to 9.86 in 3 Years.

Walter Dix - 10.12 to 9.93 in 1 year
Tyson Gay - 10.08 to 9.84 in 1 year
Richard Thompson - 10.09 to 9.89 in 1 year
Maurice Greene - 10.08 to 9.86 in 1 year
Asafa Powell - 10.02 to 9.77 in 2 years

There's more to some of the progressions than it seems. Powell made a steady drop, and the 10.02 was his second professional year in athletics. Also Thompson/Dix being in college. But I just wanted to show you Nesta drop is not as vast as it may seem, since as he's made steady progress over a 3 year span.

Bolt always switches hands with the baton on the 2nd and anchor legs as he is not comfortable running with the baton in his left.

He DID run backstretch in 2007 WCs and we got silver, as his leg was messed up as he switched hands twice with the baton!

Bolt has a 2nd leg issue.
