World Short Course Swimming Championships 2010
« on: December 16, 2010, 08:07:34 AM »
So after Joshua McLeod finished 40th yesterday in the 100 fly, George Bovell managed a 4th place out of the prelims of the 50 free. He has the semi final in about 2 hours and stands a good chance at making the final if he simly repeats his prelim performance. The Caribbean is doing well at this meet with Cayman's Shaune Fraser finalling in the 200 free yesterday and placing 8th. Jamaica's Alia Atkinson has made the women's 50 breast final to be swum in the next 2 hours. Bahamian Arianna Vanderpool Wallace made two semis today and was 5th overall in the women's 100 free while she was 15th in the 50 fly.

Mcleod was 36th in the 50 free and Cherelle thompson by a couple of seconds in the 100 free.
Success will never take you by surprise.

Meet being swum in Dubai. Semis just finished. George missed out on the final by .05. He swam slower tonight, but his time from this morning would have been fourth. 1 tenth of a second defference and you end up a spectator instead of a participant tomorrow. Friggin sport real unforgiving. Mcleod tomorrow in his best event tomorrow, the 50 fly. If he makes 1 semi, it would be in this one.
Success will never take you by surprise.

George is 3rd going into the semis of the 100 IM. He still manages to swim the shortest IM as it is available in short course (25m) swimming and puts no stress on his knee during the breastroke leg. Looking good for a final appearance if he gets a good swim in a little less than an hour.
Success will never take you by surprise.
