Started watching season 1 a couple days ago, I'm on season 2 now.... I like the story, just wish I saw more action sword fights/wars etc... What was rell kicksy is when the imp was leading the wild men into battle and collect a hammer to head, he was out before the fight start lmao...

Book 5 came out in June 2011. A Dance with Dragons.

The thing with 4 and 5... was that as good as 1 and 2 were... Book 3 blow everything out of the water!!
So it was a very hard act to follow... Book 4 and 5 is basically setting up everything and moving all the pieces into place for what looks like break neck action in the last two books 6 and 7.

Also re-reading the books is more enjoyable as you pick up a host of things that you would have initially missed that make you go WOW... the connections are intricate and subtle...

So 4 and 5 were immense on re-read... just not as action packed as A Storm of Swords (Book 3)

The best piece of intrigue was when Littlefinger take in Arya.  The way he moves I think he savin that bit of info for a more dramatic moment.

Did not even realize book 5 is out. Dam! Must admit I hope its better than 4 because 4 dragging along. Good read but
way too discriptive in parts and lacks action.

This rounds real slow down (for me). To me the dragging out the series, lots of dialog, very little steel and the hot & sweaty scenes getting less and less.

Agreed... after de black mist how they expect to slow things down juss as momentum start building up?

I keep waiting fuh de shoe to drop with Arya.

John Snow shoulda juss blaze de thing in de snow... buss de draws or buss she throat.

Real intrigue in Q'arth... and Westeros.  Dem people better hope Sansa eh get breed with that demon seed.

Looks like dey save all the action for the last cause based on the preview war breaking out in de last two episodes of the season. Must admit tho...with only 2 episodes left this season certainly has not lived up to my expectations.
