Brazil mids need to support them plays. US just double-and triple-teaming the forwards and they have nowhere to go with the ball

Yeh-dey not supporting each other to create outlet for passes. To much isolation and allowing the US tuh gang up on the palyer with the ball. Take a touch and find a space.

With all the hype about Marta, I think Cristiane is Brazil's best player by a long way...

Marta head too hot - she need tuh calm down and just play...

That is not a yellow. Manbach going down every single time they play her centrally. That ref allow the USA hard tackles and call soft tackles by Brazil.  :-X

I don't think so...this team is just as good if not better. They just seem disorganized.

How does this make sense?

I dunno about individually- but I was talking about the team.  The team is not as good as in the recent past.  It's pretty clear to see.

But I think the team is not playing well because of the instructions they are being given from the coach.

You makin' it seem as if the "hype" around Marta is unwarranted and that Christianne is just head and shoulders above Marta. The team's style of play and tactics hurts Marta's game more than it hurts Christianne's game. -'m sure the USA respect both players but would rather Christianne to have a great game than Marta. One of brazil's biggest weaknesses has always been their emotional state and I've seen these women self-destruct before. Marta might be hot-headed in trute and the most demonstrative, but most of her angst is directed at the poor refereeing. If this ref continues to allow the tactical physicality by the americans without producing some cards, and the score remains in usa's favor, you will see them all start to lose their cool the same way

Possibly.  Whatever it might be, they don't look great...and haven't really looked that great this tournament - As in other games in this cup, they will probably rely on individual brilliance to pull them out of this one...we'll see.

Shoulda been a 2nd yellow for Lloyd... woulda been a game changer - same comment about luck I made earlier.

I cannot understand how LaPelvis still on this team. You a full back and cannot defend 1v1 on the side of the field, she not quick, she not an attacking threat, and she needs help no matter who attacking she. That's a liability? You mean to tell me that the US don't have another fullback who is more effective.

Seriously the coach needs to go. He eh change nothing in the 2nd half. The first instruction at half time should be to stop hitting the long ball into the box. Pull Marta more central or switch to a 4-5-1 and attack with wingers coming from deep running at LaPelvis and enough players too crowd the middle and play the short passing game.

This ref keeping the USA in the game, not giving Brazil any free kicks in the dangerous positions, but giving the USA anything anywhere.
