Nah, just a pro team. This is their first season. I have friends in Antigua who does go to the games on a regular basis.

The attendance numbers for the USL and the travel expenses don't seem to add up for me, but they still going strong.

Yeah, they are pretty much the Antigua national team's home-based players plus a couple of other players from around the region (I believe they also have a Dominican, a Kittitian, maybe a Lucian and Guyanese and a few Jamaicans).  I believe they do have a couple of younger Antiguan players as well.  They play their matches at the Sticky Wicket Stadium.

I would believe most of the locals from the squad have been or will be playing for the Antiguan team. I think it is a good move on their part. At least their national team players are playing at a slightly higher level of football. Actually I thought of suggesting that Greneda, St. Vincent, St Lucia, Barbados, Guyana national teams play in our local PFL when it was decent in terms of relativel stability. But now our league have become real shakey.

What this new" TTFF administration should try to do is take players under the age of 24 and form a pro team to play in the Venezuelan league. Propably apply to play in their D2 and just let it happen.  I know it eh Brazil, but we will get a haevy dose of Soth American style ball which will help us in playing against the Central American teams.

Currently a professional association team, Barracuda FC is based in St. John’s, Antigua. In addition to USL PRO, Barracuda FC intends to compete in premier international tournaments and exhibitions such as the Caribbean Football Union Club Championship and the CONCACAF Champions League.

Antigua Barracuda Football Club was established in 2008 with the main purpose of raising the bar of club management and creating a professional team that would provide an avenue for talented footballers in Antigua and Barbuda and the Eastern Caribbean. Barracuda FC’s business philosophy is providing first-class family entertainment for all age groups throughout Antigua & Barbuda and the neighboring Islands in the Eastern Caribbean, including The U.S./British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts/Nevis, St. Maarten/St. Martin and Montserrat.

Barracuda FC players have been recruited locally, with most coming from the senior and U-21 National Teams. Regional trials will be held in the Leeward and Windward Islands for the 2011 season to identify the best players from throughout the region and developing the talent within the club. It is expected that Barracuda FC will eventually be comprised of 70 percent Antiguan players and 30 percent regional players, though international players will be not ruled out.
