Khaleem Hyland’s former club, Zulte Waregem, is once again interested in the midfielder.

After several days of negotiations, Zulte Waregem has cooled their interest in Khaleem Hyland. The midfielder has been deemed too expensive for the club.

The Belgian league has begun.
Khaleem Hyland scored and then got two yellows and was dismissed in Genk's 3-1 loss to Mechelen.
Sheldon Bateau played 90 mins for Mechelen

Well, i have to see the tackles that caused the send-off. Ah mean, some refs are pretty trigger happy these days. And the coach may have asked him to be more aggressive in the middle. That could be the cause of the 2 yellows.

They show the second one at 1:41 in the video. Kinda shoulder to shoulder but a lil reckless...

Da was ah shit yellow for a normal shoulder to shoulder!  Nothing reckless in da one fuh me.  Hyland looked to be slightly off balance entering the collision but that in itself didn't warrant a second yellow.

Bateau did not even feature on the bench for Mechelen yesterday in a 3-1 loss to Gent.
No news on injury or even if a transfer is afoot. There has been interest in him in Belgium and Holland.
Investigating.

Tallman, you hear anything?

EDIT: injury related it is being reported

Khaleem Hyland is in England looking for a new club.
http://www.voetbalnieuws.be/news/156927/Middenvelder_van_KRC_Genk_zoekt_club_in_Engeland

Good luck. He could try  liverpool!!!!
A Prem team would be a pleasant surprise. More likely Championship/League 1.

Wasn't it interest from a Prem/English club that led to him going to Belgium in the first place? i.e. Loaned out to a Belgian sister club to develop and until he qualified as an EU resident  to avoid work permit issues.

Correct... Harry Redknapp tried to sign him at Portsmouth but his work permit was denied. He then moved to Portsmouth's feeder club Zulte Waregem, before signing with Genk.

Based on potential. He is what he is now.

And that ain't meant as an insult. If he could make in the Prem, I glad. But you doh usually go from benching in Belgium to the Prem. Realistically, I'd expect him in the Championship. League One if his agent eh wukking.

Khaleem Hyland has accused his club, KRC Genk, of being disrespectful. Apparently Khaleem was on the team bus waiting to go to the airport to catch a flight to Turkey for winter training, when he was told that there was no ticket for him and he would not be making the trip.

Not easy for a trinbagonian (or anybody for that matter) being an international professional footballer.
Real pressure. When yuh start feeling yuh being persecuted .... and start saying so too,  then is bye bye time oui.
Hopefully plan B,C,D in place to jump ship after having several high yield interviews

why the english club needs to have him doing a trial? Genk should do a loan contract.

'cause you need to be sure he's at the right level to play, especially if you're going to pay a monthly fee for his services and/or set a transfer fee for end-of-loan transfer.
