Cristiano strugglin vs Alves. I think he rushin it too much. He makin his move to early, givin Alves time to tackle.

Yeah I kinda came to that realization earlier this year too (the return game against Arsenal specifically) ...that I'm no longer comfortable rooting for them.

Fighting Aside these two teams are the best in the world and have been the best since last yr in my opinion. Hopefully they get to meet in the Munich final this yr.

The game in general was not played in a good spirit. Far to many deliberate fouls and way too much diving from both teams. Pepe & Marcello are way too talented to play such wild ass football. Marcelo lucky to have been on the field to receive the red. That was a malicious tackle

Great games and some beautiful goals. This matchup was a real treat for the start of the season.
These losses real hurtin Real Madrid, they are always the first to lose their tempers.
Barca is still the better side by a good margin.

Game was good until the 75th when it got chippy. Madrid couldn't keep up the high line for 90 mins...they got tired and their defensive play got a bit sloppy (and rough)...Pretty even match overall but Barca was more clinical and precise. I like that Madrid is playing them high up the field and attempting to outplay them instead of bunkering down and countering like we saw last season...looking forward to the clasicos during the season, though I'm afraid that they are degenerating into some serious alley fights where the good football either gets overshadowed or eventually disappears when the legs get a bit tired...

I have to agree on the point about Real's defending. Mourinh obviously worked on this tactical approach for 2011-12. Barca are clearly not up to their best in terms of physical standards, but dam they are technically precise.
This was arguably the best defensive display I have ever witnessed from Danny Alves.
