Some men make a decent (well depends on what you consider as that) amount of money...especially those who played League football before (higher divisions) Could be about 600-1000 pounds per week(game)

An assist is not a "set up"?

An assist is a set up but a set up is not always an assist.  Imagine you have two striker making parallel vertical runs with 15 yards between them.  Midfielder plays a great through ball that finds Striker A who, thanks to the great ball is clean throgh on goal.  However, he unselfishly touches it to Striker B who taps in to the empty net.  Midfielder set up the play but doesn't get the assist (unless its ice hockey).

So you sayin whoever most significantly created the play, not just the last pass, is a set up.
Alright.
I would say that the midfielder set up the attack, but the striker set up the goal.
