The 24-year-old track star became the first female Trinidad and Tobago sprinter to earn precious metal at a major senior global meet when she struck bronze in the IAAF World Championship women's 100 metres final.

It's not necessarily the track but the constant headwind in the evening especially. Turn that around and that would have been 10.7 probably!

Just got back home from the Notting Hill Carnival; was playing music on the road so couldn't follow the races today!

Many congrats to KAB on your bronze medal! I predicted that she would at least medal if not win silver and she didn't disappoint!

Well done & let’s hope KAB can win another medal in the 4 x 100m rely. If our girls make the final and get their exchanges off smoothly & efficiently then who knows as our T&T ladies definitely got the leg speed to be contending for a medal!! Maybe Ato can give them some help but then again Ato is not the relay coach and I don’t think he wants any thing to do with our NAAA because of how they have dealt with him in the past.

Hazel Taylor, mother of Trinidad and Tobago's World Championship bronze medallist Kelly-Ann Baptiste, was elated over her daughter's success in the women's 100 metres yesterday in Korea.

Taylor looked at the race in the company of her co-workers at the Magdalena Gran Beach Resort Tobago, the new name for what was previously the Vanguard Hotel at Lowlands.

"I was really, really afraid. I had nerves because I really wanted Kelly-Ann to win a medal. I actually prayed to God.
