The tech is expensive.  Very.  The whole Tupac idea have a warp feeling to me.  In Japan they use it to make Godzilla come up from the sea and thing.  Right now it's good entertainment.  Right now anyway.  ;)

Haven't had a chance to look into it more but this says a little of how it was done:

The firm created a CGI version of the rapper performing on "Hail Mary" and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted," technically not a  3-D hologram as has been widely reported.
