The words Darvis Patton is probably like two brand new swear words that is being popularly used right now by all the members of the Men's T&T 4 x 100m relay team especially Richard!!

I wonder if Richard is ever going to talk to that chap again?!  :-\

Darvis Patton is like the Mr. Bean of the sprint relays, why does USA persist with him?!  >:(

Click TVJ link for medal ceremony for 4 x 100m relay in which Jamaica won gold & set a new world record!

T&T should have been on the podium if it wasn't for Darvis Patton aka Mr. Bean falling over & tripping up Richard!  >:(

Allyuh blaming the wrong person, The brit, Harry Aikines-Ayreetey lean out of his lane on the turn and Patton run into him, and fall over into RT

The Brit was in his own lane! It’s just that he is so large (built like a body builder) and Mr. Bean (Darvis Patton) bounced off his shoulder/arm as he was running in and fell over into RT's lane on his right thus impeding RT by causing him to slow down and jump over to avoid tripping up!

Look at the video below and you will see that the Brit was standing in his own lane it’s just that he is too large and so was picking up too much space!

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/DSI1eR3jTvs" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/DSI1eR3jTvs</a>

Mr. Bean (Darvis Patton) is just a relay accident waiting to happen! This is about the 3rd or 4th time in a row that he's had an accident for the USA relay team at a major championship!

A look back at World Championships in Daegu - Did you know?
Friday, 25 November 2011 08:08 By Clayton Clarke, tobtrackmed@gmail.com

Did you know?
Veronica Campbell-Brown is now the joint third on the all-time female medal winners at the World Championships. The 200m champion collected her ninth medal when she anchored Jamaica to a runner-up spot behind the USA in the 4x100m relay finals at this year's World Championships in Daegu, South Korea in September. Campbell-Brown’s collection: 2 gold, 7 silver puts her behind Jamaican great Merlene Ottey(14), Allyson Felix (USA) on 10 and ties with Jearl Miles (USA) 9. Felix arrived in Daegu on six medals (all gold) and was going for four more but was denied in the women’s 400m (2nd place) and failed to captured her fourth straight 200 title after ended up third behind VCB and 100m champion Carmelita Jeter. Felix, however, returned to help the US to victories in the women’s 4x100m and 4x400m relays to tally 8 gold, one silver and one bronze.

Did you know?
Kirani James(GRN) is the youngest ever winner of the men's 400m title at 18 years 363 years. He replaces Jeremy Wariner (USA) who was 21 years 193 days when he took the 2005 title. James is now the  third youngest male World champion. Only Kenyans 5000m champions Ismael Kirui (18 years 277 days in 1993) and Eliud Kipchoge (18 years 299 days in 2003) are younger title holders than the Grenadian. James also uniquely holds the World Youth, Junior and Senior one lap titles.

Did you know?
Kim Collins (SKN) joins Jamaican Danny Mc Farlane with most appearances (9) along with Canadian Tim Berrett and Spaniard Jesus Angel Garcia. Collins also competed in the men’s 100m for a record ninth time. The 2003 World Champion made his debut in the 1995 edition and is among three sprinters who have won three medals in the event. The 35 year old collected bronze in Daegu to join triple champions and former world record holders Carl Lewis and Maurice Greene, both of the USA. Collins also became the oldest medalist with his third place finish in the South Korean capital eclipsing the previous age of 33 years by Linford Christe (GBR) who was 33 years when he won the 1993 World title.

Did you know?
The Caribbean swept the sprints taking the men’s 100(Yohan Blake-Jamaica) 200 (Usain Bolt-Jamaica) and 400m (Kirani James-Grenada) events for the first time ever at the global meet.

Did you know?
Usain Bolt (Jamaica) won his seventh WC medal when he anchored Jamaica's men's 4x100m team to gold in world record time.  His tally is now five gold, two silver and puts him in third with Ethiopian long distance star Haile Gebrselassie and behind Americans Carlos Lewis (10) and Michael Johnson (8). Bolt has set three World record at the World Championships.

Did you know?
Jamaica was at 8th on the all-time performance points list BEFORE the 2011 Championships (1983 to 2009).
