Sandy Point is a good one.  Kinda old now but stayed there for a couple of days and the room was fine and the pool was a couple feet from my door

Plantation Beach Villas in Black Rock - not a typical resort per se, but good location for food and other stuff to do, a nice set up and the rates are reasonable.

From personal experience...these spots decent...not any kinda 5 star thing but they clean and comfy and not too bad on the pocket.

http://www.sandypointbeachclub.com/

http://www.tropikist.com/

Check out this spot it close to the airport, beach etc walking distance.

http://www.greenpalmhotel.com/index.php

Also a lil further down milford road

http://rovanelsresorttobago.com/index.html

But a nice grap of villas in Bon Accord is Coral Sea Villas...it even have a "jook easy" by the pool

Have to ask.. Do people in Tobago take tourism seriously? I'm only asking as I find (from experience) the 'resorts' are shabby when compared to places we've stayed on other islands.. there's no uniformity with staff interaction, food and service in general. it's usually hit and miss I find. Overall the rooms are poorly decorated and equipped ... you don't get that "resort" feel - unless that's the whole idea?

I'm a very proud trinbagonian and sell our beautiful islands on a daily basis, but we really have to step up the game if we want to compete in this tourism thing. just MHO.

I stay in Store Bay Beach Resort couple years ago - decent.
Best is to network and find someone with a villa on plantations who renting....Bess price and u get a kitchen.
Agreed on the level of tourism service, we are well behind the Bims, Antigua, Jamaica, Bahamas etc

Zandolie and Trini......I worked at two hotels in Tobago.  One many, many moons ago and one in the not too distant past.  What I can tell you is that the level of service dropped over the years.....ah really eh know what happened over time...... :(
