14-0!!!!. Not true???!!! Well maybe it was good thing we did not go. If we could not beat DR, then  we did not deserve to be there.

Seriously! if I offend, my apology, but this is disgraceful football.

We beat ourselves that day. Never mind that DR did not have a shot on net. No I take that back the coaching staff did not manage the game. guess they thought we would steam roll DR in the 2nd half considering we Dominated the 1st half.

Again I have asked this question before & will ask it again. The PK that was missed was not taken by a seasoned veteran like Cordner or King as those two understand what it is to be under pressure. After Cordner who was wiped out in the box got herself compossed it was Forbes who stepped up and stroke the ball right into the keepers arms. The rebound came back and the shot goes off the cross bar.
If Cordner or King had taken the pk the ball would've been slotted low far side and we would now be biiatching about last nights game to the USA.

None the less I put the blame sqaurely on Coach Hood as he should've at the very least when he saw Forbes stepping to the box (call her back). He did not however in the dresing room at half it was a different conversation. Wy wasn't King who is more than capable of scoring as she showed in the first round moved up to support Cordner. King is a natural attacking central midfielder & an even more adept striker however no adjustments were made by the coaching staff.

So to say the DR beat us well the score sheet at the end of the day indicates so however the blame goes sqaurely on Mr Hood's inability to not manage the sqaud when they need him the most.

The Women's program has now lost two consecutive CFU rounds (senior in July & U20 last month). Why beacuse the TTFF is not allowing the best available players (foreign) to make the treks. This has to stop immediately as we are very close in closing the gap to the big three. We need to be involved in Concacaf to allow for more funding as well a get experience. The team needs to be involved with more high level friendlies (especially in non qualifying cycle years. So lets so what 2012 brings to the Women's side knowing what really needs to take place. I still believe.

Mexican women’s national coach Leonardo Cuéllar called the Dominican Republic's participation here "a surprise." He admitted he was expecting Trinidad & Tobago or Jamaica to reach the final qualifying competition.

"The fact they have left Trinidad & Tobago out is a very clear signal they have impressed and they are very strong. Trinidad & Tobago has given us a lot of trouble in the Pan American Games. So I expect a very athletic and very strong team."

13 nil USA over Guatemala.
The USA is making a statement that no matter who they face that they will get trounced.
Their pre-tournament goal was to beat each of their opposition by 8 goals or better.
So lets see how this continues.
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww..........

The US's team is basically their world cup squad and assuming countries like Brazil, France, Japan and Australia are there it could be as exciting as the world cup.

Mexico beat the USA in Cancun Mexico in Gold Cup qualifying 2-1 which (gold cup) doubled as a WC qualifier. Mexico & Canada were1st & 2nd in the Gold Cup & went to the WC. USA had to play UEFA # 5 (Italy) in order to qualify for the WC. Which we all now they did.

Countries that have qualified for London 2012
(from Fifa's web-site)

AFC
By finishing 1st and 2nd, Japan and Korea DPR booked their place to represent AFC at London 2012.

CAF
Cameroon and South Africa will be the two teams to represent Africa at the Women's Olympic Football Tournament at London 2012. Cameroon defeated Nigeria 4-3 on penalties after their tie had finished 3-3 on aggregate, while South Africa defeated Ethiopia 4-1 on aggregate to qualify for London 2012.

UEFA
Five European teams participated in the championship (England, France, Germany, Norway and Sweden). In reaching the semi-final stages of the tournament, France and Sweden qualified for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Concacaf
The qualification tournament will be played in Vancouver (Canada) from 19-29 January 2012. The eight participating teams have been divided into two groups of four, with the group winners playing the runner-up from the other group in the semi-final stage. The two teams that reach the final will qualify for the Women's Olympic Football Tournament in London.
Group A: Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Haiti
Group B: USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic

OFC

Conmebol
