But Sam, none ah those fellas nashy or nutten.  In fact they all big compared to former U 23 teams I saw.   Even the speculators on both sides commented on the size of our players.

Yesterday they were very physical, maybe playing in Jamaica against them ruffians helped them.

2-1 lost but how did the boys play?

I think at this stage in the preparation, a win against these sort of teams are important.

Kingman

At times they looked decent, but there was so much space in the middle that the Kickers exploited it.

Additionally, and this may be down to coaching, but when they had the strong wind at their backs, they continued to loft the ball towards the forwards, instead of playing on the ground, the ball then often  carried to the other end.  For instance, the keeper took a few dump kicks and the ball ended up in the other keeper's hands...to me that is much wasted playing time.  Use your damn arms...

I guess the boom kicking was due to NO Facking available mid field!

There was no good build up from the midfield on a consistent basis, and Kingman I agree, at this stage the team should be winning these games going into the playoffs.

The players were none to happy with the soft second goal. the players walked thru the defense.

Cyrus looked real good going forward at times.  But all in all we lacked real imagination in the attacking third.

That may be due to technique rather than strength and steadiness, but certainly composure is notable

What I cant understand is why T&T players always stand around when they do not have the ball.

And they dont not use the width of the field, they play mumble jumble football and follow the ball instead of making the ball work.

They dont have a simple knock style. A simple one two works so effectively sometimes.

T&T use the wing to much and will be easily marked because they play with one target man. They need to learn how to use the center also.

Man mark Gay like teams did with Yorke and Stern while playing for T&T and they will never score. Nobody coming through de center like Latas, Dwarika and even Eve did while they was T&T players.

I see flaws in T&T play that can be correct by a better coach. Beenhakker did it in two months.

Gay can be a real handful!   Cyrus makes some decent overlapping plays.   We will do well if we can play in the middle of the field.  My biggest gripe with many T&T teams, is the way they allow opposing teams oodles of space to play in the middle.

Yesterday I saw a glimpse of aggression and some physical play at times.

We need to pressure the opposition in the center of the field.

i think we will do better attacking tru the middle when Molino joins the team once Eve plays him behind Gay in the slot there

Thats what i was just about to say, were missing our two starting central midfielders, Molino & De Silva. Hopefully they'll mesh with the team quickly.
