A large contingent of foreign-based track and field athletes will return to Trinidad and Tobago for the annual Manny Ramjohn Memorial Invitational Games, which races off at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, on April 22.
Local male and female athletes expected to be a part of this year’s proceedings are Keston Bledman (100/200m), Jehue Gordon (400m/hurdles), Emmanuel Callender (100m), Aaron Armstrong (100/200m), Mikel Thomas (110m hurdles), Kamaria Durant (200m), Chelsea Charles (4x400m) and Kernesha Spann (400m hurdles). These top locals among others will compete for honours against a lengthy list of international competitors.
Athletes will be coming in from 13 countries such as the USA, Canada, Bahamas, Kenya, Ivory Coast, US Virgin Island, Barbados, Jamaica, Nigeria, Dominica, Guyana, Puerto Rico and St Kitts/Nevis.
