Watson opts out of TTFF race
T&T Newsday

ACTING PRESIDENT of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) Lennox Watson has opted out of the race for the presidency, ahead of the November 11 elections at the Cascadia Hotel, St Ann’s.

On Thursday, former TTFF vice-president Raymond Tim Kee expressed his desire to contest the post of president while sports commentator and Carib’s sponsorship and events manager Colin Murray is expected to be the only other candidate for the helm of the local footballing body.

In a television report last night Watson, who took over from the long-serving Oliver Camps in October 2011, admitted that he could not be contesting the position “because I am still the president of the Eastern Football Association.” Wayne Cunningham is the acting EFA president.

Watson noted that the EFA is likely to throw their support towards Tim Kee and “I decided very late to pull back and I’ll let the EFA do what they want to do.”

He added, “this elections is about maintaining the status quo,” hinting that the EFA previously nominated Tim Kee to oppose Camps in previous elections but those moves were likely to fail.

However, Watson pointed out that the plans revealed by Tim Kee in a media conference on Thursday were already implemented under the Watson regime.

So we know for sure now that timkee is not a jackular mole since watson is in his corner.

sometimes i sit and think aloud, could watson and jackular be playing a game of pretend we are enemies just to further manipulate the football? you could never tell with these guys.
