TT all time 16
« on: May 20, 2012, 02:47:07 AM »
Surprised nobody ever bring this up before.

My 16:

Barath
Stollmyer
Darren Bravo
B. Lara
Charlie Davis
Dwayne Bravo
D. Ramdhin
I. Bishop
T. Gray
Sonny Ramadhin
D. Ramanarine

Dereck Murrya WK
P. Simmons
L. Gomes
B. Julien
Ranjie Nanna

Struggled to find an opener for Barath, Simmons and Ganga were so mediocre at TEst level and Ganga got enough opportunities. Stoll. was good but never really faced the body line of the younger generation.
Barath and  Darren Bravo may seem premature but they are established and future greats. Barath would've been even better were it not for constant injuries.
Was a real toss up between Gray and Ravi Rampaul and in a few years I might pick Rampaul.

My problem with anyone prior to the bodyline era is that they would not adapt. The true greats that transcended the era did so for me you would have to be a legend as a batsman, eg. Headley. Learie was great in his day but although his fielding was unparalleled, put him in at the expense of who? I only put Dwayne in becz he's an allrounder.
