When did T&T football get so poor! ah mean these boys playing like they take out their brain and leave it in their lockers for safe keeping.

as for this muhammad guy (the central defender) the man falling , slippin and sliding all in the final defensive third, what ah calamitous mdfcr he is, and of course the schmuck who fack up and let seattle put in one just on the bring of half time.  what sh!t football!!
The pen is mightier than the sword, Africa for Africans home and abroad.Trinidad is not my home just a pit stop, Africa is my destination, final destination the MOST HIGH.

Unless the field bone hard, defenders should have long studs on.

How W Connection and Caledonia disgrace the T&T League. They looked terrible and played with no desire.

After 30 minutes W Connection was lunging, Imagine, Professional footballers tired after 30 minutes and the coach looked tired to from the bench.

Lets not forget Caledonia, I mean Shabaaz could talk a good game, but that team is technically and tactically weak. Jamal Gay should get out of that club, he is a Joe Public product and deserve to be on a better team, Caledonia killing his rep. Walter Moore, who I bought to T&T was the only player with heart.

Even Theobald looked tired and didn't make one good pass.

This club embarrass T&T. Since Joe Public left the league, they have really deteriorated, JP may come back next season (2014) and help save the league.

Joe Public is the only team to represent T&T greatly at this level. Give them credit guys.

Jack will rise again and the world will beg for him to come back and I hope he says NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol the same JP that shit down they self last CL?

And still we did better than the two teams we have there now.

We won in MEXICO, no other Caribbean team has ever managed to do that and we destroyed a BIG MLS team and sent a message to the world of MLS supporters.

We went out with a bang not like these two soft teams we have here, when I saw the guys, I could only shake my head.

W Connection, a team I had little respect for has now gone, they look clueless, this is why Stuart Charles was quickly removed from T&T coach, he cannot go up the next level and the quicker David Williams notice this, the better for his club, he put his friendship over his business and you cannot mix both.

Xelaju keeps W Connection in focus

Xelaju keeps W Connection in focus
CONCACAF.COM

Even in the long and proud tradition of football at storied Guatemalan side Xelaju, this week is shaping up as one of the biggest in the team's history, at least where international competition is concerned.

On Tuesday night, the Super Chivos host Trinidadian club W Connection in Quetzaltenango.  That game will provide the Guatemalans with a chance to take control of Group 8 of the CONCACAF Champions League, after Xelaju surprisingly knocked off Mexican giant Chivas last time out in the CCL at Mario Camposeco Stadium.

Following that feat up with another win at home over the Trinidadian Pro League champions would mean a four point advantage in the group for the Guatemalan side, heading into next month's rematch with regional heavyweight Chivas in Mexico.

Before the Guatemalans can think about upsetting Chivas again, though, a second date in a matter of weeks with the Caribbean side awaits.  In August, the defending Guatemalan champions, under the knowledgeable guidance of former Costa Rican international Hernan Medford, started off their CCL campaign on the right foot in Trinidad by securing a valuable point on the road.

"We're totally satisfied after tying Trinidad away, then beating a great team like Chivas, which came with its first team," Medford told CONCACAF.com.  "Of course that's motivational, and now we have to try to win the game here against W Connection, to then go play basically a final, away against Chivas looking to qualify."

Headed into Tuesday night's match, Medford and his team know that a win against W Connection would put them in an enviable position headed to Guadalajara next month.  A victory against the Trinidadians would provide Xelaju with a chance to seal the group -- and a pass to the quarterfinals -- with just a tie in Guadalajara, no matter the outcome of next week's clash in the Caribbean between W Connection and Chivas.

But despite playing at a home stadium situated at 2400 meters above sea level -- an advantage which could well stymie the attack of the Caribbean side -- the Super Chivos will be unlikely to overlook their rival after needing a daring comeback to equalize the away match in Trinidad, after W Connection led 2-0 at the half.

"It was a good game," said Medford said of that clash.  "The first half Connection played better, the second half belonged to us.  So it was a completely fair result.  It was a game with a lot goals, and so it left me completely satisfied."

For Tuesday's game, Medford has his squad completely focused on W Connection, despite the looming date in Guadalajara.  But should the hosts pull out a victory in Quetzaltenango, eliminating W Connection in the process, their full attention would then turn to the pending rematch with Chivas on October 25th.

Following what Medford labeled a "historic triumph" at home last month, getting the result on the road in Mexico -- along with a ticket to the quarterfinals -- would surely prove even more noteworthy for the proud Guatemalan franchise, founded in 1928.

"It was one of those games that the team played very well, almost perfect, because we didn't really commit any errors," said Medford of the win over Chivas. "It's a completely historic result, but we're going to try to repeat it the 25th in Mexico."

Xelaju has won five Guatemalan league crowns and three national cups, but has limited experience in international play.  The club's fifth moon -- uniquely, Xelaju uses moons on its shirt in place of stars to represent titles won -- was captured during the 2012 Clausura earlier this year, with a finals victory over fellow CCL entrant Municipal.

W-Connection faces ouster as CCL hits Week 4

Teams face ouster as CCL hits Week 4
CONCACAF.COM

The goal for DirecTV W Connection is clear. It must beat Xelaju at Estadio Mario Camposesco Tuesday night or be eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions League.

"One of our main aspirations is to get to the final of the CONCACAF Champions League, believe it or not," W Connection goalkeeper Jan Michael Williams told ttproleague.com. "With this bunch of players that we have right now, we can get to the final. But…it's going to be tough."

The two teams battled to a 2-2 draw at Manny Ramjohn Stadium on August 2. W Connection led 2-0 on first-half goals by Hachim Arcia and Rennie Britto, but allowed a pair of goals by Edgar Chinchilla in the final 17 minutes and settled for the draw. Xelaju followed with a 1-0 victory over Guadalajara on August 21, while W Connection lost 4-0 to Chivas in Mexico eight days later.

The two enter the match in slightly different form. Xelaju, which leads CCL Group 8 with four points, has lost two of three, including Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Comunicaciones in the Guatemalan Apertura.

W Connection defeated Defence Force 2-0 Saturday at Manny Ramjohn in the inaugural Digicel Charity Shield match with its league season set for an October 2 start.

Besides the victory, the match was of special significance to Williams. The club donated $10,000 to Williams to aid in the recovery of his fiancé, Candice, who was assaulted in January and spent two months in an induced coma.

"I have to give a lot of credit to the chairman of the club, David John Williams and coach Stuart Charles Fevrier," Williams said. "They really helped me to manage between the football and the family. They bent over backwards, so to speak, to accommodate me at times when I wasn't able to be around. I try to be professional about it in every aspect and they respected that. They really helped me in coming through thus far."

Like W Connection, with two games remaining, the situation is just as dire for other teams as well.

Tauro FC has yet to score a goal in Group 2, losing to Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium and group-leading Herediano 1-0 at home. The Panamanian side needs to win both of its remaining games to have any hope hopes of advancement alive.

That starts with beating Real Salt Lake at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City on Tuesday. Real Salt Lake, which won the first encounter 2-0, can move into a tie with Herediano with a win of its own.

That likely would set up a winner-take-all match between RSL and Herediano in Sandy, Utah on October 23. For Salt Lake, it is approaching Tauro as a desperate foe.

"It's my feeling that they're going to approach this game the way I would, which is they have to win. They're not dead yet," RSL coach Jason Kreis said. "They have to beat us and they have to beat Herediano and they have to hope for some things to go right between Herediano and us, but I would expect that would be an ultra aggressive Tauro team Tuesday night."

Real Salt Lake, which hasn't played a competitive match since September 6, will be without captain and central midfielder Kyle Beckerman, who is serving a one-game ban for a straight red card in the home win over Tauro on August 21.

"Obviously he's an important player, but he's missed a lot of games the last few years," Ned Grabavoy said. "Whoever is called upon is going to have to step in and do the job and collectively we just have to move forward."

In Group 6, Real Estelí is another team that is goalless and facing the elimination with a loss to group leader UANL Tigres Tuesday night at Estadio Independencia in Managua.

It will be a rematch of Tigres' 4-0 win at Estadio Universitario on August 21, when four different players scored for UANL in the final 55 minutes.

Estelí also fell to Alajuelense, which is tied atop the group with UANL, though the Mexicans have a plus-three edge in goal difference.

UANL will head to Nicaragua bolstered Luis Garcia's two goals and a 2-0 win over Cruz Azul in the Mexican Apertura Saturday. Esteli is unbeaten in its last three in in the Nicaraguan league, but has drawn its last two and was held to a 0-0 draw by Juventus Managua on Saturday.

What position does Jones play? I thought he was a left back but it looks like hes been drifting into central midfield tonight.

Connection lost 3-2. Very disappointing. Some of the ref. calls was fustrating the Connection players. But still disappointing. Shadon needs to find a team outside of TT or else he will end up like Britto.

Really poor defending on all the goals by Wconn...Cyrus and benjamin looked awful. Wconn have a decent knock but lost to a side that not good and should have put them away in mannie Ramjohn stadium. Britto and Jones played well while Shahdon threw away too many. Depressing and Caledonia is more of a disaster...
