Well, based on Lalonde Gordon's run, wondering what you all think about T&T's medals hope or chances of reaching event finals? Here are my top 10 estimates at this point in order of probability:

1. 100m W - medal (KAB)
2. 4x100m W - medal
3. 4x100m M - medal/final
4. 4x400m M - final
5. 100m M - final (KB)
6. 400mH M - final (JG)
7. 400m M - final/semi-final (RQ, DL?)
8. 200m M - final/semi-final (RS)
9. Triple Jump W - final (AA)
10. 110mH M - quarterfinal/semi-final (WD)

Good predictions. However, I think if the momentum keeps going the way it is, there might be a surprise or two. Also, if KAB doubles, I think she can squeeze a medal out of the the 200m.

Last, keep an eye on WD. Lately, he's been bettering his times race after race.

I too would love to see KAB double but there are so many seasoned low 22 runners in the mix (Felix, Jeter, Duncan, Campbell-Brown, Knight, etc etc) that she might as well rest up to ensure us a medal in the 4x100m. Same for SH and KS if they qualified in both sprints. Hope KS has gotten over her early season injury, she shows a lot of promise and range (I remember that 50 point leg a year ago she gutted out to almost hold off that 49.2 split by Jessica Beard)

Good point. I think that Felix, Duncan and Campbell pose the biggest threats to KAB in the 200. But KABs 200m performances keep getting better. Although, her last two performances were wind aided, I think that she can run consistently in the low 22s. I hope she does double. Dont be surprised if SH makes the 200m final. She is starting to find her stride.

So now that National Champs is over how do we assess our London Olympics medal chances at this juncture?

Would have appreciated an assessment more like this containing a bit more detail:

1. 100m W - final/possible medal (KAB)
2. 100m M - final/(KB & RT); possible medal (KB)
3. 4x100m W - final/possible medal
4. 4x100m M - final/medal

5. 400m M - semi-final/final (RQ, DL, LG)
6. 4x400m M - final (4th place or possible medal if we can run 2:58.xx or less)
7. 400mH M - final/possible medal (JG)

8. 200m M - semi-final/final (RS)
9. 110mH M - semi-final (WD)
10. Triple Jump W - final (AA)
11. Shot Put W - final (CB)

That is a possible 6 T&F medals for T&T if everything goes our way and all our athletes perform to their fullest potential!!  :beermug:

You got it covered. Is not that I don't have confidence in our athletes. I just don't have confidence in the TF administration. I still hearing some people eh getting their stipends. Look, at this point money should be flowing for these athletes.

Okay, I see where you are coming from! Our incompetent administrators and government could mess things up for us again as they did for World's last year.

Can't argue with you too much there as they have a reliable track record in that department!  >:(

anybody heard that the olympic track and field team has been selected?  I heard from a reliable source that Cedenio is on the team as a member of the 4x4 relay.
