A lot of parallels
« on: August 07, 2012, 11:38:30 AM »
Some interesting parallels...

2008-Darrel Bown considered to be the #1 100m sprinter for TT
2008-Darrel Brown injured ... Not available for the relays
2008- Richard Thompson .. Not considered a medal contender.. Wins silver
2008- Richard Thompson leads 4x100 team to Olympic medal in that event
2008- Richard Thompson 23

2012-Renny Quow considered to be the #1 400m sprinter for TT
2012 Renny Quow injured.. Not available for the relays
2012-Lalonde Gordon.. Not considered a medal contender in the 400m. Wins bronze
2012- Lalonde Gordon leads 4x400 team to Olympic medal in that event
2012- Lalonde Gordon 23

I hope this pattern does lead to a medal in the 4x400.

Where allyuh does come from boy?  brown was favorite over RT in 2008?  steups...

In 2008 The only man to take down 9.92 and 9.90 is Thompson.

The man bend the truth a bit to make his point about a similar pattern this time round as compared with 2008, doh kill him nah!

It's all about trying to be optimistic about our medal chances in the 4x400m relay!

No one here predicted that Lalonde Gordon would have medalled in the 400m final before the Olympics, did they?!  :beermug:
