The commentators failed to understand  that these Caribbean teams are playing with European based players on their rosters. They will be surprised to find out how many first & second divisions French based players are on Martinique squad. Just like they're already given Honduras the group before any games played...well hopefully T&T, Haiti or Salvador will prove them wrong..

Seeing as Mexico just play in the Confederations Cup, have they sent a B team for Gold Cup? Ah watching on Univision and after they pan thru the squad, ah didn't see the more familiar faces.

A few teams well using B teams for this tournament. FIFA need to ensure their confederation championships are all part of a global schedule that fits within a single calendar to allow for the highest quality tournaments. Everybody should be playing in 4 year cycles, some already work like this.

Year 1 - Post world cup - No international summer tourney (Year 2 qualifiers in progress)
Year 2 - Olympics (U23), Euros, Gold Cup, Copa America, African Cup of Nations, Asia cup (all winners will roll into Year 3 Confederations cup)
Year 3 - Confederations Cup (WC Qualifiers)
Year 4 - World Cup

A system like this will also settle many of the club vs country conflicts as well. FIFA can sprinkle their youth tournaments inside of those years as well.
