12:42 hrs - Ravi Rampaul started off at $50,000. His price is now approaching $300,000 with Mumbai and Bangalore not willing to give up. Bangalore get Rampaul for $290,000. Another fast-bowler in the kitty.

Ramdin is the best keeper/batsman in the Caribbean and does quite well in limited overs cricket,he is not bad in the 4 day or tests. His stats in the Caribbean is better than many batsmen,as I said he is now probably the best w/keeper in the world, anyone care to name a better keeper please do so or be quiet.

Happy for Rampaul..hope he keeps injury free and a bit surprised Sammy went for so much..curious to see how he goe perform in d IPL..  Ramdin was a bit of touch and go...he aint a specialist bowler or batsman and if you look at IPL I can only think of 2 wicketkeeper cricketers that was selected from abroad to play in d history of IPL..and that was Adam Gilchrist and we all know what a devastating opening bat he was and Matt Prior who I rate higher than Ramdin especially in batting and look he also was not selected in this IPL ...so to be fair to the IPL teams...there are dozens of keepers in India..not like his position is in demand...

Hope Pollard and Bravo shine this IPL and know that teams aint go be giving them a bligh like they get tis season..fellas better perform....

rotatopoti3:
I totally agree with your assesment of how the IPL select their players especially when it comes to keepers,I agree that Prior is a better bat than Ramdin but as a keeper I haven't seen any in the last 5 or 6 years better than Ramdin. His batting could be even better and it seems that he is using his head now,I think he could be a very good bat if used higher up the order for Windies.I didn't think he would get a contract from the IPL or any other 20/20 franchise,if he scores runs in our last visit to the IPL he may just get contracts later on,that is what these owners want,as you explained.
