So far this season, Texas A&M sophmore Deon Lendore is our only athlete to put himself on a top spot on the world list
Lalonde Gordon started his season hot with that 32.4 indoor 300m run, but has gone backwards with every race since. I believe he has raced too much and is paying the consequences. See that terrible race from Shanghai last Friday.

As for our short sprinters, pretty much nothing has been going on. Keston ran at that practice meet and opened up with a very average. 10.14 and may also be injured now. Richard is yet to run a meaningful race, so his status is unknown, but is suppose to run at the NY DL this weekend, and the supporting cast just run ah set ah GOBAR in Brazil over the past 2 weeks. Slight correction ...Adel turned 13 this January . This is his first year as an under 15 runner. ..he eh 14 yet ! He also did that time in pain ...he begged his coach to run and slowed in the end. You should have seen him struggle to walk up the stadium steps after the race...yet he said he was fine. If you know this boy ...he would say nothing wrong even if he was on crutches . The coach said he would take him out the 200 final ...and I see that he did today.
He could have gone faster but I understand why ... I have not seen a more focused competitor maybe since Dwight Yorke maybe .. Adel wants to go to the 201 olympics ...oh did I mention that he did the SEA ( common entrance ) exam this year ...he is still in primary school.

Mikael won the 110 hurdles as well and for the first time he left 1 hurdle standing ...he usually knocks down all 10 ! He really looked good winning the 100 ...easy and comfortable ...he is really a powerful sprinter ...if only he could grow another 2 inches ! Amazing how he could run such fast times in the 110 hitting every hurdle with his heel ! If he could just go over his time would be even better .

18 year old Ayodele Taffe is another one to watch ...his QRC coach says he is going to Texas A&M this year...he has been improving since switching to the Charlie Joseph team Abilene wildcats .....the club of Deon Lendore, the farinha brothers and several other young stars...

Well he did represent QRC in Penn this year so I would say yes . According to the coach he needed to work on the academics to qualify . I remember picking him  him out some years ago ...when he beat John Mark constantine ...the first time I had seen JMC lose a 100 metre race ... Poor fella ...I dont think he has recovered since then ! He is another with great potential but is suspected of having choke on big ocassions syndrome.

18 year old Ayodele Taffe is another one to watch ...his QRC coach says he is going to Texas A&M this year...he has been improving since switching to the Charlie Joseph team Abilene wildcats .....the club of Deon Lendore, the farinha brothers and several other young stars...
he is running faster as the season progresses ..

is ayodele attending QRC now or just working out with their coach?

Well he did represent QRC in Penn this year so I would say yes . According to the coach he needed to work on the academics to qualify . I remember picking him  him out some years ago ...when he beat John Mark constantine ...the first time I had seen JMC lose a 100 metre race ... Poor fella ...I dont think he has recovered since then ! He is another with great potential but is suspected of having choke on big ocassions syndrome.

ok..ayodele is talented but discipline was his issue when he was at Pres and Petrotrin.  In addition to you, i have heard some other ppl also saying he is doing better under his new coach.

there is still hope for him  if he gets on the right track...bledman was there years ago and has turned it around big time.
