Very concerned about this drop in temperature as it relates to Jehue's performance. It's 3pm and only 66F which means by race time at 9:05pm it could be in the fifties.   :banginghead:

Yea, it's suppose to be about 15-16 degrees Celsius by race time, but 7 of the 8 men in that field train or live in warm weather, so the playing field is level in that regard.

Second in the heat behind the US without Merrit and Mcquay.

Team looked solid. Should be faster than last year. Will be an exciting final. Rennie lead off in 44.89.

Bahamas out after leading their heat coming into the home straight.

That Bahamian on the last leg fold up easy easy, boy. Third leg put in so much work for him, too.

Last leg by Bahamas was a big let down for them!

Kai Selvon had a difficult lane running out of lane 1 in Semi-Final 2 but I think she must still be disappointed with her time which is way off her PB but its always hard to run your PB as a relatively tall athlete out of lane 1.

Those idiots running the TV stations in T&T are a waste of time!

This would never happen in the Bahamas or Jamaica if they have a potential gold medallist in a final who is just about to run at a major championships being covered all over the world.

The nonsense we have to put up with from our local TV stations in T&T regards to lack of coverage of local sports and major international sports events in which our local sports men and women are taking part.

Same goes for most of our local radio stations as well in addition to their shameful lack of support for local music and artists.

Bahamas would have needed to lodge a protest but guess they didn’t because even if they were moved up one position due to Russia being disqualified their time was still not quick enough to give them a spot as one of the fastest losers.
Really it’s their last leg man who let them down badly as they had no right not to hold on to one of the two automatic qualifying spots after leading the relay into the home straight. That guy who ran the last leg for the Bahamas needs to look in the mirror.

Just saw Jehue's interview with Maurice Green, and WOW:

Matured, Focused, Intelligent and full of VISION. If he maintains this trajectory, he will be unstoppable. He also spoke about being patient, as he knows Kevin Young's world record was achieved when he was 25. I think he has come of age.

Well done young man!
Success will never take you by surprise.
