If left up to Marlon and Izler without interference then they should be well prepared. I believe that it sooner more than later before our womenb's teams bring us similar glory like the warrior did.

U-20 Women team ready for qualifiers.

Senior women’s team trio players Ayana Russell, Dernelle Mascall and Kennya Cordner head a six of six overseas-based players included in an 18-member team for the Caribbean Football Union Women’s Under-20 First Round Qualification Group A series.
Latifah Kelly, Janelle Cunningham and Ria Belgrave are the other overseas players in the team named by coach Marlon Charles yesterday to play in the tri-nation series against US Virgin Islands and Grenada at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya from Sunday until Thursday.
In Sunday’s first match, US Virgin Islands tackles Grenada from 5 pm while T&T tackles US Virgin Islands on Tuesday and Grenada, two days later.
The Dominican Republic was supposed to be the fourth team in Group, but have since withdrawn.
The US Virgin Islands advanced to the final round after crushing British Virgin Islands 12-0 and 19-0 for a 31-0 aggregate.
Group C to be played in Havana, Cuba from August 7 to 11 includes the host country, Barbados, Antigua & Barbuda and Anguilla.
The victors from A and C of the Caribbean First Round Groups will join Jamaica, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua and USA in the Concacaf Women’s Under-20 Final Round where three nations will advance to the 2008 Fifa Under-20 Women’s World Cup

Under-20 women hammer Grenada

Wednesday, August 8th 2007
 
 Trinidad and Tobago's under-20 women's footballers set up a crucial final match against the US Virgin Islands after whipping Grenada 4-0 yesterday, in a CONCACAF qualifier at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya. (Full report in tomorrow's Express).

T&T scorers; Moriah Shade 9th, Dernelle Mascall 43-pen, Kennya Cordner 53rd, 56th.

The USVI beat Grenada 3-2 in their opening match on Sunday.

Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago earn victories in Caribbean Qualification

 8.8.07 - Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago earned victories in their respective group encounters of the Caribbean Women’s Under-20 First Round Qualification on Tuesday.
Two goals by Kennya Cordner and one each from Dernelle Mascall and Mariah Shade led the hosts, Trinidad & Tobago (1-0-0, 3 Points) to a 4:0 win over Grenada (0-2-0, 0 Points) in a Group A match at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya.

The Caribbean Qualification Group A concludes on Thursday (9 August) in Macoya with US Virgin Islands (1-0-0, 3 Points) taking on Trinidad & Tobago.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Cuba (1-0-0, 3 Points) was competing in their first-ever women’s U-20 match as they topped visiting Barbados (0-1-0, 0 Points) 3:1 in Group C play at the Estadio Pedro Marrero in La Habana. Yezenia Gallardo scored all three goals for Cuba in the victory.

Group B action continues at the Estadio Pedro Marrero on Thursday with Barbados taking on Anguilla (0-0-0, 0 Points). The triangular concludes on Saturday (11 August) with Cuba hosting Anguilla.

The winners of Groups A and C will join Jamaica (Caribbean Group B winner) in the CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Final Round along with Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua and USA, with the venue and dates to be announced in due course, where three nations will advance to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Chile 2008.

The 2008 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship will take place at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla, Mexico from 17-28 June.

The eight-team tournament will have two groups of four during the opening round from 17-22 June. The hosts, Mexico have been drawn into Group A along with Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago and the defending champion, USA, while Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Nicaragua will compete in Group B.

The semifinals and finals will take place on 25 and 28 June, respectively, where three teams will qualify to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Chile 2008.

This is the second time that CONCACAF is staging Women’s U-20 Championship with the other one also taking place in Mexico in 2006.

CONCACAF has previously hosted two Women’s Under-19 Tournaments in Trinidad & Tobago in 2002 and Canada in 2004.

De TTFF press officer on vacation. He spending 2 weeks by Jack hotel at the COE in Tunapuna.

We women team will get murdered.... we did not even prepare properly for this tour, some small stretch cant help and yet Jack want to host de U-17 womens world cup, to what embarrass de host, again.. or to make $$$$$$$$.

Is the brainless taliban (Jamal Shabazz - Uncle Guyana) still our coach for the women team ? I doubt as Guyana men team have a WC game this Sunday..

Isn't it amazing that because they know they can't sell tv rights for minor stuff like this and futsal they post the whole game on the website for everyone to see, but with the senior team even if as they often do fail to sell the rights no one outside of town gets to see it.

Mexico blanks T&T women 3-0 in qualifiers
Trinidad Guardian reports.


Host Mexico ended the World Cup dreams of the T&T’s Soca Pincesses with a 3-0 win in their second match in Group A of the 2008 Concacaf Women’s Under-20 Championship at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla, Mexico, yesterday.

With the win, the Mexicans joined the defending champions, USA as qualifiers for the semi-final after the latter hammered Cuba 9-0 for its second straight win.

On Sunday, USA and Mexico will meet for top spot in the group while T&T will come up against Cuba in its final match.

On Thursday in Group B, Canada and Costa Rica advanced to the semi-finals after eliminating Jamaica and Nicaragua, respectively

Chelsea Stewart notched two goals and Monica Lam-Feist the other for Canada in the 3-1 triumph against Jamaica, who got its goal from Shakira Duncan.

In the second encounter, Cristin Granados, Sharon Sancho Gonzalez and Wendy Acosta all scored for Costa Rica in a the 3-2 victory over Nicaragua. Julissa Del Carmen Acevedo and Maryury Valeska Perez netted for the losers. Canada and Costa Rica are currently tied for first-place in Group B with six points each, but the Maple Leafs have the slim edge over the Ticas on goal difference ahead of their meeting today while Jamaica and Nicaragua face off in the first match. The semi-finals will take place on Wednesday while the third-place match and final of the will take place on Sunday June 28.

The top three teams from the Concacaf Tournament will qualify to the Fifa Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Chile, later this year.
