Because people not smart enough to disable location tracking when taking photos. Once it tag people can find you.

I normally have mine disabled for pics, videos, FB etc, and just verified the settings are still set to disabled on my iPhone.  But even though mine was disabled, I never knew that people could click on a pic even outside of FB, and see the exact location of where the pics were taken. 

I always thought geographical location of where exactly the pics were taken, was only accessible if one had direct access to my smart-phone.     

We definitely learn something new every day eh.

Yeh the location is stored within the photo itself. Latitude Longitude.
