I believe we can shave at least another 2 seconds off our new NR come Olympics if everyone on the squad is firing and can put down sub 45 legs in the 4 x 400m Relay if our team makes the Olympic final.
Don’t know what you guys think?

Also take note of how well our World Junior 4 x 400m Relay Squad featuring Cedenio on anchor did as they dusted out our Senior B team!!
Things look really bright for T&T in the future in this event!  :beermug:

This result is impressive considering the poor individual times that were run just a day before at the NC.

In addition, previous record was held by a quartet where three of the athletes (Dalice, Daniel, Morris) could run sub 45s and Desilva close to 45 flat.

There is no doubt that with the proper support a sub 3:00 is within their grasp. Lord how long have I been watching TT 1600 relay teams underperform.

From 2001-2006, TT consistently placed finalists in both the women's and men's 1600 relays at international Jr. level. I always thought with the right training and support they could at least become regular finalists, I am happy to see the men at least on the verge of realizing that potential.

A little history:

T&T 4x400m bronze in 1964, we almost had silver:
