Stadia for sale/lease?
« on: September 11, 2013, 12:28:15 PM »
This may be a far-fetched/ridiculous question.....but I was asked to ask and believe that someone here just might have the relevant info or hook-up...

Is the government willing to sell any one of the Ato Boldon, Manny Ramjohn or Larry Gomes Stadia? Or at least engage in a long term lease to a private investor or company?

To whom should such a query be directed?...SPORTT, Minister, Prime Minister, Tourism Minister, Finance Minister etc

Proposer sees value in local and by extension Caribbean football and is seeking info before making the next step.

A special report into stadia across Trinidad and Tobago
« Reply #1 on: April 09, 2021, 01:11:08 AM »
WATCH: Ryan Bachoo joined the Unspun Investigative team to lead a special report into how stadia across Trinidad and Tobago became a political playground. A research paper done a few years ago showed that Trinidad and Tobago is among countries with the highest number of stadia per capita. However, while the nation of 1.4 million people is good at building, it has a dismal track record of maintaining. The result has been relatively new stadia in different corners of the country left to become structurally deficient. But more than that, as the economy fluctuates, these stadia become less and less of a priority for governments.

When were the stadia built? All within the past 30 years (HCS not included) and yet this level of infrastructural decay? No accountability whatsoever.
