Akeem’s brother trains with Ferencvaros Torna.
T&T Express Reports.

Akini Adams, the 26-year-old goalkeeper brother of ailing T&T defender Akeem Adams, has been training with Ferencvaros Torna while he is in Hungary to see about his sick brother.

Point Fortin Civic ‘keeper Akini and mother Ancilla Adams have been in Hungary since his 22-year-old brother Akeem suffered a massive heart attack on September 25. The T&T defender still lies in a heart clinic in Budapest and is in critical condition, although he has awaken from deep anaesthesia.

Since the heart attack, Akeem has had four life-saving operations, including one which left him without his lower left leg. It had to be amputated after the player suffered necrosis as a result of blood circulation problems that stemmed from the use of a mechanical heart.

Akeem’s older brother is himself a footballer, and during his stay in Budapest has been training with his brother’s team, 28-time Hungarian champions Ferencvaros. When he’s not visiting Akeem with his mother, Akini trains in the green and white crest of the Fradi players.

“Our club is in support of Akeem and his family, it was clear (through) the training we provided for (Akini) in Budapest during (his) stay,” a Ferencvaros employee told BLIKK newspaper on condition of anonymity.

The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.
